For most states, your certificate is available online within three hours of completing your course exam. However, there are some states that require an affidavit to be printed, filled in, and mailed back to Kaplan Financial Education prior to your certificate being available. Please check with your state requirements to verify when your certificate will be available.

Most states have specific requirements about when Kaplan Financial Education reports CE credits. Therefore, you may notice a slight delay between the time that you completed your course and when your credits are correctly reflected with your state department of insurance.

Some states require that an agent's license number, complete social security number, or the last four digits of your social security number appear on the certificate of completion. Rest assured that we take our Privacy Policy very seriously and would only request this personally identifying information if absolutely necessary. Due to our policies of confidentiality, if you are in a state that requires your full social security number to be printed on your certificate, your certificate will not be available for online viewing.

It is not necessary for Kaplan Financial Education to report your CE credits to other states. Due to the laws of reciprocity, in most cases, if you are compliant with your CE requirements in your resident state, you simply have to notify your nonresident states of your good standing.
