Use of Online Access via www.kaplanfinancial.com. You understand that Kaplan Financial Education does not warrant that this Online Access will be uninterrupted or error-free. Online Access to www.kaplanfinancial.com is provided on an "as is, as available" basis. You agree to meet the minimum system requirements set forth for Kaplan Financial Education's electronic products, including Webcasts powered by SuperChat Technology™, Question Banks, Practice Exams, Mastery Exams, Online Exams and Quizzes, Video Lectures, Audio MP3s, eBooks, and InstructorLink™.

You understand that Kaplan Financial Education may revise the content of its website and online products from time to time to meet its training objectives. It may add or remove materials that it considers as unnecessary or no longer relevant for exam preparation. Once the material is removed it will not be accessible and will not be available upon request. 

You understand that our Question Banks are modular programs. It is intended to guide you in your study program. Study sessions may be released periodically, and the multimedia content will be updated continuously. You accept this arrangement and understand that all content will be released in a timely manner for the Online Access you have purchased.

You understand that online access to study materials for Insurance licensing courses and QBank software shall be granted for a period of four (4) months from the date of purchase. An additional four (4) months may be purchased for $49. You understand that online access to study materials for Securities licensing courses and QBank software shall be granted for a period of five (5) months from the date of purchase. An additional five (5) months may be purchased for $49.Access to Firm Element courses is permitted according to the curriculum schedule set by your firm’s administrator. Total Access CE shall be granted for a period of 365 days from the date of purchase. Course titles are subject to change without notice. The subscription is non-transferable and is to be used only by you. You will not share the username/user id and password with anyone, even if that person has his or her own Online Access. Such sharing of usernames/user ids and passwords is a violation of this Agreement and will result in immediate suspension of your privileges to any Online Access at www.kaplanfinancial.com without refund. Kaplan Financial Education monitors its website, including the use of Online Access, for visitors and enforces its one subscriber-one user policy diligently. 

Kaplan Financial Education will provide you feedback about your performance on the tests and exams in our electronic products. This is intended to highlight areas of your strengths and weaknesses. You understand that the performance feedback is meant to assist you in your preparation for the exam and is in no way intended to act as a projection or a forecast of your actual exam score. The feedback is intended only as a diagnostic tool of your knowledge as you prepare for the exam, and your practice scores may be affected by factors beyond Kaplan Financial Education’s control. The content created in my Notes will remain the sole property of the author. 

In no event will Kaplan Financial Education be liable for (I) any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, business interruption, loss of programs or information, and the like) arising out of the use of or inability to use www.kfeducation.com, or any information, or transactions provided on www.kfeducation .com or downloaded or hyperlinked from www.kfeducation.com, even if Kaplan Financial Education or its authorized representatives have been advised of the possibility of such damages; or (II) any claim attributable to errors, omissions, or other inaccuracies in Kaplan Financial Education's electronic content and/or materials or information downloaded through, or hyperlinked from, www.kfeducation.com. Because some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may not apply to you. In such states, Kaplan Financial Education’s liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kaplan Financial Education; Kaplan, Inc.; Graham Holdings Company and their respective subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, suppliers, and any third party information providers to Kaplan Financial Education’s Online Access from and against all losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of this Agreement by you.

Miscellaneous. This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York applicable to agreements made and to be performed in New York. You agree that any legal action or proceeding between Kaplan Financial Education and you for any purpose concerning this Agreement or the parties' obligations hereunder shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction sitting in New York. Any cause of action or claim you may have with respect to Kaplan Financial Education’s Online Access must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises or such claim or cause of action is barred. Kaplan Financial Education’s failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Neither the course of conduct between the parties nor trade practice shall act to modify any provision of this Agreement. Kaplan Financial Education may assign its rights and duties under this Agreement to any party at any time without notice to you.

Terms and Conditions for CFP® Exam Products

In addition to the general Terms and Conditions applicable to all Kaplan materials, as stated separately, specific to Kaplan's CFP® certification and exam preparation courses include the following:

AccFP Program Cancellation / Refund Policy for Premium Purchasers. Cancellation requests must be provided in writing via email or fax to Kaplan 30 days in advance of the program start date. Refunds will be issued, less a $350 processing fee if the student does not return the Student Binder and Textbook. If the Student Binder and Textbook is returned, refunds will be issued less a $50 processing fee. No refunds can be granted if cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to the program start date, or if a registrant fails to attend. Students who do not cancel 30 days in advance and do not receive a refund may re-enroll in that course at a 50% discount off the current retail price for an additional 2 years.

AccFP Program Cancellation / Refund Policy for PremiumPlus Purchasers. Cancellation request must be provided in writing via email or fax to Kaplan within 30 days of the date of purchase. Refund requests within the 30 days of purchase will be issued, less a $350 processing fee if the student does not return the Student Binder and Textbook. If the Student Binder and Textbook is returned, refunds will be issued less a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be granted after 30 days beyond the date of purchase. PremiumPlus students have 2 years from point of purchase to complete the education and live review courses. Students who do not complete the program within 2 years may purchase the AccFP courses or review at a 50% discount off the current retail price for an additional 2 years.

AccFP Program Rollover Request. AccFP students are allowed one complimentary rollover to a future cycle. The future cycle must be within 1 year (3 exam cycles) of the original start cycle. Students seeking to move cycles a second time will be charged $100. The future cycle must be within 1 year (3 exam cycles) of the most recent cycle in which they were enrolled. Extension requests will not be granted beyond the second request. If the student does not complete the coursework within this timeframe, the student may re-enroll in the course at the discounted fee of 50% off the retail price. Note: Students moving to a future cycle will be required to pay shipping for updated materials, if necessary.

Live Review Program Cancellation / Refund Policy. Cancellation requests must be provided in writing via email or fax to Kaplan 30 days in advance of the program start date. Refunds will be issued, less a $350 processing fee if the student does not return the In-Class Guide unopened and in original packaging. If the In-Class Guide is returned unopened and in original packaging, refunds will be issued less a $50 processing fee. No refunds can be granted if cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to the program start date, or if the registrant fails to attend.

Live Review Program Rollover Request. Review students are allowed one complimentary rollover to a future cycle. The future cycle must be within 1 year (3 exam cycles) of the original start cycle. Students seeking to move cycles a second time will be charged $100. The future cycle must be within 1 year (3 exam cycles) of the most recent cycle in which they were enrolled. Extension requests will not be granted beyond the second request. If the student does not complete the coursework within this timeframe, the student may re-enroll in the course at the discounted fee of 50% off the retail price. Note: Students moving to a future cycle will be required to pay shipping for updated materials, if necessary.

Live Review PassProtection Policy. Kaplan Review students that are unsuccessful in passing the exam may take a free repeat within 1 year (3 exam cycles) of the original cycle. If a student is unsuccessful on the second attempt, the student may re-enroll for a charge of $100. The student must take the review within 1 year (3 exam cycles) of the most recent review cycle. If the student is still not successful in passing the exam, the student may re-enroll in a future review at the discounted fee of 50% off the retail price. Note: Students moving to a future cycle will be required to pay shipping for updated materials, if necessary.

Self Study Online Program Cancellation / Refund Policy. Cancellation requests must be provided in writing via email or fax to Kaplan. Full refunds will be issued if cancellation request is received within 15 days of course access if shipped materials are returned in reusable condition. If the shipped materials are not returned in reusable condition, a refund less $350 is provided to the student. No refund is granted if cancellation occurs 15 days after course access.

Self Study Online Program Extension Requests. Self-Study Online students receive 3 months of access upon enrollment. Students seeking an extension within 30 days of the original coursework due date may purchase 3 additional months at a fee of $100, if the extension request is made within 30 days of the current coursework due date. If the student does not complete the coursework within this timeframe, the student may re-enroll in the course at the discounted fee of 50% off the retail price.

Ordering Policy. Purchases of product package, downloads, eBooks, electronic and online products/services, extended online access, and previous year sales are final and non-refundable. Cancellation or Return of any individual component contained within a product package will require the remaining items to be charged at full retail value plus a $20 administrative fee. All associated shipment costs, including duties, customs and/or brokerage fees, are non-refundable and are the responsibility of the customer.

Returns of paper-based materials will be accepted within 14 days of the date you receive your order. NO returns will be accepted less than 30 days prior to the exam, regardless of when the order was received. All returns are subject to a restocking fee (the restocking fee will be 10% of retail price up to $50 maximum). The materials must be returned in original, like-new, resalable condition and in the original packaging and/or shrink-wrap in order to be considered for a refund.

Requests for orders to be cancelled after they are processed will result in the refund being less a 10% restocking fee up to $50 maximum. If the order has been shipped and is in transit with UPS, the refund amount would be less the shipment costs, in addition to the 10% restocking fee.

You must contact our customer service department via phone, fax, or email to obtain a return authorization (RA) number. The box the materials are returned in must be postmarked within 14 days of receipt of the order, and you need to write the RA number on the outside of the box. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 30 to 45 business days after the return is received.
