Andy Temte


Dr. Andrew C. Temte
CFA - President of Kaplan Professional 

Dr. Temte oversees and leverages assets, capabilities, and talent across Kaplan's global footprint. Based in La Crosse, WI, Kaplan Professional maintains operations throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

In 1990, Andrew started his professional education career working with Dr. Carl Schweser to build the Schweser Study Program into the leader for CFA exam review. Under Temte’s direction, Kaplan Schweser became a leading global provider of innovative, efficient, and effective financial education solutions. In addition, Temte has over 14 years of university teaching experience in the areas of corporate finance, investments, and international finance.






Andrew Perkins
Global Director of Leadership and Professional Development

Andrew has over 30 years of commercial experience in building and leading organizations. He re-joined Kaplan to head up the Leadership and Professional Development unit in January 2015.

Previously, Perkins was Head of Financial Markets at Kaplan Financial for over 3 years and the former CEO of an FTSE training company. He has written numerous articles for financial publications, delivered technical lectures in over 20 countries, and has served on committees at the ACCA.






Dr. Ian Stewart
Head of Kaplan Leadership and Professional Performance

At Kaplan, Ian designs and delivers senior leadership and executive programs for a range of clients while specializing in leadership development and strategic thinking to drive organizational change and performance.

In addition to his role at Kaplan, Ian is a visiting lecturer at CASS Business School and teaches at the Open University. As well as spending over 20 years lecturing in Leadership and related subjects at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Ian worked in strategic policy and planning in Whitehall for the Ministry of Defense.






Dr. Tim Smaby
CFA, FRM - Vice President of Advanced Designations at Kaplan

Tim joined the company in 2002 as the manager of the Level 2 CFA study materials. In his current role, Tim oversees product management and content development for the CFA, CAIA, and FRM product lines. Prior to joining Kaplan, Tim was an associate professor of finance at Penn State Erie. He has also held various positions in the banking industry.






Giovanna Ramazzina
Head of Corporate Sales, Kaplan Leadership and Professional Development

Giovanna manages commercial activities within Kaplan Leadership and Professional Development. She oversees global growth as well as maintains the link between sales, account management, marketing, delivery, and program management.

Additionally, Giovanna has led change management and business improvement initiatives in corporate and not-for-profit environments, and has extensive experience managing global leadership and development projects for the private and public sector.





 David Gilman
Executive Consultant, Kaplan Professional Leadership & Professional Development 

David has been involved in the field of Learning and Development for well over 30 years, both as a consultant running his own business, and in learning management roles with GE Capital, Prudential Relocation, and Salomon Brothers. His accomplishments include the development of 100+ programs and feedback instruments in organizational performance improvement, leadership and professional staff skills training, sales and customer service training, and adventure training for leadership and team effectiveness.
