Continuing Education Requirements

BFA™ holders must complete and file 20 continuing education credit hours every 2 years. Kaplan offers over 50 online CE courses that can be used to satisfy BFA CE credits. 

Fulfill these credits through the Total Access CE for CFP® Certification Renewal Library (you do not have to be a CFP® professional to leverage this library) or, if you hold an insurance license, you can select your state and double-dip your CE credits. 

Fulfill Other CE Credits with Behavioral Financial Advice

Completing the Behavioral Financial Advice coursework provides you with: 

  • Up to 20 CE credits toward the following certifications:
    • CFP® certification
    • Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®)
    • American College's PACE program: CLU®, CLF®, RHU®, CAP®, and CASL®
  • Up to 8 CE credits toward Investments & Wealth Institute designations:
    • Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®)
    • Certified Private Wealth Advisors® (CPWA®)
