A growing number of states require producers who sell, solicit, or negotiate long-term care (LTC) insurance to complete eight hours of initial LTC insurance training and four hours of additional training each renewal period thereafter. State requirements vary. Appointing insurers must confirm that this training requirement has been met by their agents. Kaplan offers several courses that may be used to satisfy state LTC training requirements. The following courses qualify for LTC credit in many states:
- Long-Term Care (online and print)
- Long-Term Care Concepts (online and print)
- Long-Term Care Suitability (online and print)
LTC Today (live class) - 8 hours
- Long-Term Care Today (live class - Colorado) -16 hour- Classes begin in April 2008
