How Automated Background Investigations Work

appointpak.com™ sends background check requests electronically to the background investigation firm. When the background investigations are complete, the background investigation firm electronically sends a pass, fail, or review status to appointpak.com™. When a pass result is received, appointpak.com™ automatically releases the appointment transaction for processing. If a fail or review status is received, appointpak.com™ notifies the user by email. The user can review the background investigation results to determine the next step. The electronic interface replaces the manual review processes of the past. appointpak.com™ contains a new inquiry section, enabling customers to check the status of their background requests during each step of the process.

Archival Storage Feature

Kaplan Financial stores an image of each appointment and termination document and Producer Information Network (PIN) status information for appointpak.com™ users. Clients can access their archived forms on the Internet and search for documents by state, Social Security number, tax ID number, name, and/or license number.
